PORT NICHOLSON CLUB. A general meeting of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club was held at Armitfs rooms. There was a good attendance of members, Mr J. McLean presiding. Mr C. Ward moved to delete the 20minute limit for handicapping and to give the handicaijper a free hand in the assessing of handicaps. Mr S. E. Forbes moved an amendment that separate classes for A and 13 yachts be instituted, in the second class fleet. Mr Fordham seconded. After tome discussion the amendment was carried. Mr McLean moved that a boat should finish to the extent of her handicap after the time specified by the club.' Mr White put in a resolution for the fourth class boats, that the time limit be done away with. These two motions were agreed to on the voices. The programme for the Anniversary Regatta was confirmed. It was decided to alter the races set down, for decision on January 15th till after the regatta, so that boats could come up on tlte slip for any necessary repairs before the regatta. . A letter of condolence, which had been sent to Mrs Crawford from the club, was confirmed, the members sfcandOn Mr Watt’s motion it was decided to have ho limit to the amffuut of open deck space in a sixteen-foot boat. A motion by Hr Fell, that the first race on the Anniversary Regatta programme be.under the lineal rating rule was negatived.
