In tho. first test match between England and South Africa at Johannesburg, the English team made 310 in the first innings, thus securing a lead of 102. (Received January 4, 9.35 p.m.) CAPETOWN, January 4. The South Africans, in their second innings, have 124 on for the loss of three wickets. VICTORIA v. SOUTH' AUSTRALIA MELBOURNE, January 4. Tho inter-State match South Australia v. Victoria was continued today. Tho home men, who at the drawing of stumps yesterday had scored 25 runs without loss in their second innings, were at tho wickets all day, and have seven down for 429 Delves 28, Hansford 45, Smith 146, Scott 24, Armstrong (not out) 119, Kenny 27. In their first innings the Victorians made 2C6 and the South Australians 360.
