ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
FBBB3 ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, January 4. Henry Neville Maskelyne, aged twentynine, a single man, attempted suicide at a boardinghouse last night by cutting his throat with a razor. He arrived in Wellington by the Corinthic on Boxing Day, and cam© to Wangapui on New Year's Eve. He had been drinking heavily. He was removed to the hospital. The wound is not serious, ASHBURTON, January 4.
On Monday morning a young man named James Johnstone, eighteen years of age, son of Mr Christopher Johnstone, and in the employ of Mr D, G. Wright, of Surrey Hills, went out shepherding, and not returning in the evening a search party was sent out and found his horse, about four miles from the homestead. Johnstone was subsequently found dead near the horse.
