Giers, Russian Vice-Consul at Ardobil, telegraphs news of the safety of the Russians and the 2000 refugees at the Consulate. The Russian flag is respected, but the/Russian threat to punish Rakhim Khan and his followers, who are freebooters, is regarded with distrust in Teheran.
