WEDDINGS
COLWAY—SMITH. A ■ wedding of considerable interest to Wairarapa residents was Celebrated at Masterton yesterday afternoon, when Air James Colway. son of Mr James Colway, of Manaia, one of the pioneer settlers, was married to Miss Frances Agnes Smith, daughter of Mr John Smith, of Kuripuni, another old and esteemed resident of tho district. The B edding took place at the residence of the bride’s father, and the Rev. A. T. •Thompson was the officiating minister. The bride wore a dainty gown of white crystalline, a la Empire, trimmed with silk and chiffon, and added the usual veil and tiara of orange-blossoms. Her bridesmaids were Miss Emily Burton, Miss Ivy McKenzie, and Miss Mary McKenzie. Their frocks were of pale blue chiffon taffetas, oreaon crystalline, and cameo pink chiffon taffetas respectively, and their hats and bouquets were in keeping. Mr E. C. Details of a recent wedding in Fiji that will interest not a few New Zealanders are just to hand. Tho bridegroom was Dr Ramsay, Government doctor at Navna, and bride Miss Alinnio Switzer, who, during the several times she lias been ii\ Nor* Zealand, has made hosts of friemis, both in Wellington and Auckland. Ill© ceremony was performed by the Rev. Air Matthews in the Pro-Cathedral, Sum. Air J. W. Davidson, brother-m----law of the bride, gave her away, and the was attended by Aliss Livingston, of Navna, and Aliss Alay Robinson, or Auckland, as bridesmaids. Air Nase supported the bridegroom. Br and Mrs Ramsay left by special launch lor their home at Navna.
