SUDDEN DEATHS
PBEBB ASSOCIATION. GISBORNE, April 10. As Mr W. Currie, hotelkeeper at Muriwad, was proceeding home from a stock sal© yesterday afternoon, he collapsed and lay on the floor of the buggy, resting on the knees of a gentleman who was driving, who thought that ho had simply fainted. On arrival home an hour later it was found that he was dead, and a medical .man, on being summoned, pronounced that death had occurred some time previously, probably when the collapse took place. Deceased was* an old identity, formerly connected with the mounted police. ■ ■ ■' '
DUNEDIN, April 10. James Burnett, a widower, aged 76 years, was found dead in bed at-his residence, North-cast Valley. Deceased, who was a labourer, had been in failing health for some time. Death is supposed to be due to weakness and old age.
