BUTTER AND CHEESE SHIPMENTS

Another large shipment of butter and cheese loft Wellington on Thursday by the Rimutaka for Rondon. Compared with the figures of the oorresponding shipment for the s*ame month last year there is a considerable falling off in mo quantity of butter dispatched, 2148 boxes being taken by the Rimutaka as against 7872 cases in April of 1907. The explorAition of this is that a large quantity of butter is being stored in the Dominion instead of being forwarded Home, as was the case last year.
