High prices were obtained at. a sale of old silver held at Mesors Christie’s rooms in London recently, one cr two items realising ever £lO an ounce. The most important lot was > fine Charles 11. Porringer, which at JE7 15s an ounce totalled £174 7s 6d whil- a little EUsabethan chalice reached £ls 10s an ounce. Three_ fine tankards were sold, two of the time of Charles IT. making -Etta and £133 13a respecti-relr and one of the Queen Anns neriod .6130.
