THIRD MATCH AGAINST VICTORIA.

Tho third match between the New Zealand bowlers and Victoria, played on the Carlton green to-day, resulted in a win for Victoria by 121 points to 05. The weather was glorious, tho green in perfect condition, and there was a fair attendance. The visitors wore heartily welcomed to the Carlton green. DETAILS. Kew Zealand —Smith, Martin, Coltman, Goldstein (s.), 18; Victoria— Oliver. Trickotb, Wright. Waxman (s.), 01 This was an even game until the pixth head, when the New Zealanders were loading by two. In the next five heads tho Victorians failed to score. Waxman then gained several singles, followed by a 2 and a 4. At the twentieth hoad tho New Zealanders were lending by 3. Victoria scored 6at the remain ins end. Now Zealand —Smith, Broad, Waddoll, Bishop (s.), 18; Victoria—Jomiepon. Wood, Oollins, Stephens (s.), 23. In the first seven heads the visitors scored only two, made at the opening hoad. Victoria getting 9. In the next ten heads Victoria scored 6. At the twentieth hoad the visitors led by 2. Victoria got & 4 in in the twentyfirst. New Zealand—" Wallace, Gee, Findlay, Hain (s.). 21; Victoria—Morrison, W. Woods, Gravell, Smith (s.), 34. At the fifth head Smith got 7 in, making his total 9, against the New Zealanders’ 3. In the following eight heads Hain increased the score to 16, while Smith totalled 10. In tho remainder ot tho game there was even play, both captains being well supported. Hain joored at thirteen heads. He lost his 3 points in tho last six heads. This game was remarkable for low scoring, neither side getting more than two at any head. The New Zealanders scored in the first two heads but failed in the following sir, while tho local team scored freely, including two s’a.
