At the annual meeting of. D Battery. N. 55. Artillery. Captain Pethenck presided The report showed that the company will celebrate its forty-first anniversary on July 22nd. Tho recruits that had come in duriue the year would prove a good acquisition to tho Battery. It was urged that, recruits should in future be r ® t iuired to show that they wore likely to bo permanent residents in the city, owing to the expense of outfitting. In regard to rifle shooting, tho standard had been well maintained during the season. The Championship Balt was won by Servant-Major Shelley, with an aggregate of 430. The B Class gold medal waa won by Gunner Cottcriil. The Battery won tor the first time the Challenge Cap at tho Wellington Rifle ia per n ma ro n^t m Artillery Instructional Staff was thanked for its services.
