SOUTH ISLAND RAILWAYS
THE MAIN TRUNK LINE. PRESS ASSOCIATION. BLENHEIM, April 7. Tho Land and Railway League yesterady decided to approach both the Canterbury and Wellington Chambers of Commerce with a view to securing their oo operation in renewed agitation for the speedy construction of tho South Island Slain Trunk Railway.
The membership of the Marlborough league is being greatly extended, while the Kaikoura and Cheviot leagues are according enthusiastic support.
