CONVALESCENT HOME.

A meeting of the trustees of the Convalescent Home was held yesterday morning at Mrs Newman’s residence. Present —Mesdames T. C. Williams, Grady, Moorhouse, Newman, Barron the matron, and the secretary. Owing to the great advance in prices it was reluctantly agreed that fees must be raised to 15s a week, and that in future an annual subscription of one gum a can only en itle tho subscriber to nominate a patient for a fortnight instead of for three weeks. Gifts were acknowledged with thanks from Mrs Joseph, Mrs Snaddon (magazines), and Mrs Nathan (illustrated papers). Several Christmas donations were received, and tho trustees would bo glad to receive further contributions. Tho matron reported that sixteen patients were admitted and fourteen discharged during the month.
