WOMEN IN POLITICS
The Women’s Central Organising Conn mittee of the Political Labour Longue (says tho “Sydney Morning Herald”) ban drafted a number of notices of motion for the annual session of tho P.L.L., to bo hold at the Trades Hull, Sydney, in January next. These deal with the Abolition of Capital Punishment, Family Maintenance Bill, Sanitary Building Act, a better and more humane system of disbursing tho old ago pen.ions in payment by post in the same, way as the Government employees; placing' all hospitals subsidised by Government urn dor complete Government control, with Romo bettor system of dealing with oub door patients, to avoid tho weary waiting and waste of time to see.a doctor; of High School , fees alteration, to make entry fee by competitive certificate for all children of all parents whose income doce not exceed J!150 per year; the bringing of all _ hotel, restaurant, tea-room, and chemists’ employees under tho provisions of tho Early Closing Act, and also employees of all distributing centres not now affected by tho Early Closing Act, and the establishment of tho Government Female Registry.
