A PLEA OF GUILTY.
THE AYLING DEFALCATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received November 19, 11.15 p.m.) LONDON, November 19. John Ayling, late partner in the firm of Constable and Co., of Edinburgh, has pleaded guilty to the charges of forgery on which he was recently arrested. Ayling, who is a step-son of the Eight Hon. John Morley, was charged .with forging the names of Mr Morley and Mr IV. B'ackio to two bills, totalling £6OOO. Hia liabilities are said to amonnt to £40,000, largely due to Rhodesian speculations. Further charges of forgery involving £IO,OOO have been mentioned.
