MADAME ALBANY'S FAREWELL CONCERT.

The final concert of .Maxlame AlhanFs tour of New Zealand—so far at all events as Wellington is concerned —was given at the Town Hall last evening. Ther© was a large downstairs audience, and the enthusiasm displayed was a fitting farewell to a fine vocalist who has surround* ed‘ herself with a company of brilliant artists. Madame-AlbanFs first solo, the recitative and aria “Softly Sighs/ 1 ’ from Weber's opera “Der Freichutz,” . was 1 Beautifully; rendered; but when - later on she ©ang on© of Handel's fine largos, and followed it with “Ye Banks and Braes," the applause was bo continuous that she had to appear repeatedly and bow her acknowledgments • of the compliments tendered her. The other members of the co.upany wore .. heartily applauded for their respective numbers. , ‘ "MOTHER GOOSE.” Another triumphal performance of Mr J. C. The Theatre Royal. was liberally attended - last eveninv. and there was abundant evidence of approval of the programme submitted by Fuller’s Vaudeville Company.
