WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION, ANNUAL REPORT. The report for the 1800-07 season to ha pr&cntcd at tho annual meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association next Monday dates that there was not so much difficulty in obtaining suitable grounds us in former years, wickets being available at Island Lay, Petone, and

aoiinsouvilie. Permanent wickets will soon bo available at Pel one, also on Ivelburnc and Miramar Parks.

The various competitions were won by the following teams:—Pernor, Wellington College Old Boys ; junior. Pet on o; thirdclass, Johnconvilie; fourth-class. Thorndon A. Representative games resulted as follows:\ r . M.C.C. firs* game, drawu; v. M.C.C. second game, drawn; v. Canteibury, lost by five wickets. Visits are duo "this season by Otago. Canterbury, and Wairarapo, and visits are due tc Auckland and Hawke's Bay.

The association was represented in the New Zealand team which played the M.C.C. In’ A. B. Williams, K. 11. Tucker, J. J. Mafiony, and E. F, Upham. Thanks are expressed to Messrs J. P. Firth, C. A. The twenty-fifth annual meeting of th® Midland ’ Cricket Club was held last evening. Mr I. Hymns presided, ; and there was a largo attendance of mem-; . bers. Several new members were elected.

The report regretted that for the first time in thirteen years tho club could not bo congratulated in retaining the chara- ; piemship.
