NAPIEH, September 12. the Auckland ladies’ hockey tears played a Napier team, drawn cbiedi from the Maroro and Clive Clubs, to. day, and suffered defeat by four goal* to nil. The local team had the best ol the play all through, particularly in the second spell. The Wanganui ladies’ team weis beaten by the Hnia Hockey Club hi three goals to one. WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. At yesterday’s meeting of the Welling* ton Hookey Association it was decided not to admit the appeal of the Earorj Club against the decision of the referee in last Saturday’s match against United, the protest being out of order. Permission was, however, granted to the Unit, od and Karori Clubs to replav the match on Saturday, September 2Sth, provided that the Wellington Club is willing to ■ forego its engagement with the United* for that date. i ' The Ladies' Hockey Association was granted the use of a ground at Day’i Bay for the playing of the final of tin senior competition by the Kiwi and .Vio' k terra College r<l " l Tf _
