Th© Horowhonua Hack Racing Club's annual meeting was continued yesterday in showery weather. There was a good attendance. Tho course was in a heavy state. Four withdrawals from the Ohau Hack Flying Handicap reduced tho field to four. Buuyan scored his second win at tlio meeting, winning comfortably from 'Jawhera. St. Claimer won the Levin Handicap easily from Flotilla. Toney extinguished bis chance by playing up at the post and getting left. Hiro was tho only scratching for th© Moutero Hack Handicap. Rendrock put down a good favourite in William, and paid a good price. ' Aotca was made a good favourite for tho Hurdles, but his stable-mate (Playmate) scored again, and paid a mucu better price than on the first day. All acceptors excerpt Flotilla started for the Weraroa Handicap. Mahuta was on tho move when th© barrier rose. He led throughout, and lasted long enough to stall off a challenge by Mataari. Tho race was not worth 100 sovs, consequently Mahuta does not incur a penalty in tho New Zealand Cup. The sum of <£3427 was passed through the totalisator, making .£BSOI for th© meeting.
