'VTOTICE is hereby given that the CounLi oil of the City of Wellington, proposes to apply to his Excellency the Governor for an Order amending the Order-in-Council, dated , the 27th day of October, 1902, and authorising the construction by the said City Council of the Electric Tramway described in the schedule hereto, as a loop-line to the lines authorised by the said Order-in-Council. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the plans and crosssections showing the nature of the works to be undertaken, and the nature and scope of the proposed alterations and extensions, together with a description of the same, are deposited in the office of the Town Clerk of the said Council, situated in Cuba street, in the City of Wellington, and are open for inspection with-, out fee during office hours. DESCRIPTION OF OVERHEAD CONSTRUCTION AND TRACK. ’ . The Electric lines are to be carried in duplicate the whole way, and' supported by centre-poles or side-poles with long bracket arms or side-poles with span wires. ■ The System is known jbs the Double Insulation System, and is so constructed that the insulation does not depend on any one insulator. . ' The overhead line will be put up as on© section of or will be incorporated ’n existing sections of the Tramways authorised by the said Order-in-Cotmcil, so that arrangement may be’ made to fuse and break' the sections and so isolate any one section at any moment. Current will be supplied along the overhead line at say 500 to 550 volts or thereabouts. The rails are to be of substantial construction, and of 95 pounds per yard section, and are to be laid on a bed of concrete in Lambton quay.; and elsewhere on wooden sleepers. All the rails are to be doubly bonded, and the two tracks where they run side by side will be cross-bonded at convenient intervals. Dated this 12th day of September, 1907.
