POLICE CASES
At the Mount Cook Police Court ycsteiv day morning; before Mr John Collins, J.P.. eight persons were charged with drunkenness. Four first offenders were, fined 5- in default-24 hours' imprisonment. Henry Thomas, a habitual drunkard, was sentenced to three months in gaol. Mary Walsh, on old offender, was filled 20s. in default seven days’ impri. sonment; Sarah Jaipieson, also an o!<3 offender 4fts. or , fourteen , days. John Marshall, a second offender, was fined 20s, or seven days’ imprisonment.
