Tho Pc tone Club has decided to withdraw from the Cup competition. At a recent mooting of the management committee of tho Now Zealand Lawn Tennis Association 11. A.. Parker and A. F. Wilding were nominated for tho Australasian team to compote for the Davis Cup In England about next July. Matters in connection with tho Championship mooting to ho held at Haglcy Park, Christchurch, next Christman were considered. It was decided to run the Australasian championships (men’s singles and- doubles) as separate events from the New Zealand. It is hoped to offer prizes of tho value of £25 each for tho Australasian and Now Zealand Singles chompionshiiß. Tho Canterbury Association has been offered tho management of tho whole meeting and now has tho matter under consideration.
