Dunbar, a Univereity student, aged nineteen years, was drowned while bathing yesterday afternoon in tho Lower Harbur with two other students. Tho body was recovered. ASHBURTON, January 20. Yesterday afternoon an inquest was hold at Ashton on tho eight-months-old child of Mr John Hampton, farmer. Tho evidence (showed that while Itho mother was bathing tho child she fainted, and when she recovered consciousness she found the child drowned in the bath. A verdict of accidentally drowned was returned. INVERCARGILL, January 20. Henry Mann, who was kicked in tho abdomen T>y a trotting horse at tho Goto races, succumbed to tho injuries ho received.
