PRIMITIVE METHODIST CONFERENCE.

CRESS ASSOCIATION. INVERCARGILL, January 20. At the Primitive Methodist Conference tho report of the church loan fund showed an income of £222; value of fund, £1333; book-room, income, £133, expenditure £lOl. Tho report of the custodian of deeds was considered oatiafactory. Tho Rev J. Flanagan, an English minister, who has been invited to conduct evangelistic services in tho colony, wrote that ho would probably arrive at tho end of tho year. Tho allocations of missionary money for tho year were dealt with and passed. Tho ministers’ fund, supplementary lo the superannuation funds connected with the English conference, showed an income of £530, and capital value £2073. Letters of thanks were ordered to bo sent to the family of the late Mr J. W. Roberts, of Dunedin, for a donation of £3OO to tho Dundas street Church ; to Mr Brinsley (Dunedin), for £SO for the same; to Major Hayward, for a section at Tomuka; to Air Gear, for Wellington churches, £100; Air Mitchell, for Svdncy street Church, £OO. Air C. M. Luke was thanked for his services as delegate to tho English Conference, and tho Rev T. A. Pybus, of South Invercargill, was appointed delegate te tho conference, to bo hold at Manchester. Tiio Rev T. H. Lyon was appointed to represent tho English Conference at next year’s meeting of the conference. Tho Rev T. Contcsworth was ordained to full work of the ministry.
