The Governor and party resumed their journey to Auckland from Napier yesterday morning. Mr B. S. Sinythe left London on September 30th by the Blue Anchor liner Commonwealth for Melbourne.

Captain and Airs Henry Rose, formerly of Wellington, hut now resident in London, are about to revisit the colony. Air F. W. Rapley, manager of tho Equitable Life Assurance Society for Taranaki and Hawke’s Bay, is at present on a visit to Wellington.

Air W. Davies, master of the Alauricevillo West school, is incapacitated from duty through an accident caused by the explosion of a kerosene lamp. His eyes wore slightly affected, and one hand was burnt.

At Matthew’s Church, Mostorton, on Thursday, Mr William M. Lambic, son of Mr George Lambio, late manager for tho Union Steam Ship Company at Christchurch, was married to Miss Olive Maud jago, fifth daughter of the late Mr Thomas Jago, of Masterton.

The following changes have been arranged by tho Education Board:—Miss Katherine Cade, of Pahlatua, to be mistress at Mangatainoka; Miss Stanton, of Waingawa, to be mistress at Dalofield: Miss Young to bo temporary assistant at Karori; Mr H. H. ‘Dyer to be temporary solo teacher , at Mangapakeha, pending Miss Gibhie taking up that position at tho termination of the summer vacation.
