At Burnside market 157 fat cattle were yarded, principally unfinished bullocks. There was good demand, and nricos were fully 15s per head higher until towards the close, when they eased, and wore about the same Us last week. Best bullocks £lO 10s to £ll TOs, medium £9 to £9 15s, inferior £7 10s to £8 ss, best cows and heifers £7 10s to £B, extra £8 10s, medium £6 5s to £0 15s, inferior £4 10s to £5 ss. A number or northern buyers were present.

Fat sheep—l3ls penned, principally good quality-wethers. Competition was keen, and prices were from Is 6d to 2s above last week’s. Best wethers 24b 6d to 27s (a few pens realised up to 29s 6d), ■jhorn wethers 20s 6d, good wethers 22s fid to 21s, others 225. Very few ewes wore penned, these realising up to 25s 6d.

Fat lambs—s 3 penned. Prices about the same as last week, the top 'being about 18s. P'S®—2o7 penned. Despite the large yarding, prices were about equal to last week. Suckers 7s to 11s, slips 12s to 15s. stores 16s to 225, porkers 24s to 345. light baconers 36s to 40s, heavy baconers 45s to 50s, choppers up to 61s, OTAGO GRAIN MARKET. DUNEDIN, November 1. Wheat—Business done is in choice lines, and there is not much, demand for medium, except as fowl feed.
