SIR WILLIAM LYNE ILL.
A STRANGE THREAT. MELBOURNE, November 1. Sir William Lyno, Federal Minister of Trade and Customs, is ill. A man visited him and warned him that conspirators who disliked his method of administering the Customs Department had resolved to ruin his health. Sir William Lyno laughed at the idea, but the visitor assured him that Mr Kingston’s health had been ruined by a similar process, and departed with the solemn admonition to Sir William to beware of attempts on his life.
