LAWN TENNIS.
The annual meeting of the Thorndon Lawn Tenuis Club was held on Tuesday evening. It was decided to adopt the "challenge ladder” system during the coming season. The meeting resolved that the club should enter one team for the "Shield" competition. The following officers were elected President, Mr B. M. Simpson: vice-president, Mr A. Young; committee. Mrs R. A. Holmes, Miss G. Morrah, Messrs H. Pollen, H. M. Gore, S. B. Kennedy, L G. Mackay, B. N. K. Swanston. and W. D. Revel! ; hon treasurer, Mr Didsbnry; hon secretary, Mr V. L. Cachemaille.
The Thorndon courts are to be opened for the season on Saturday.
