Tho Council resumed at 7.30 p.ra. EXHIBITION BILL. Tlio New Zealand International Exhibition Empowering Bill was put through com mitten without amendment, and read a third time. INDUSTRIAL BILLS. Tho Workers' Compensation for Accidents Act Amendment Bill was passed without alteration. Tho Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act Amendment Bill was taken in committee. At clause 15 (offence for any union, association, or person, either to strike or create a lock-out or take 'part in a strike or lock-out, or propose, aid, or übot a strike or lock-out, or a movement intended to produce a strike or lock-out), the Hon Air Bigg moved to strike out tho words ‘‘ propose, aid, or abet a strike or lock-out, or a movemerit intended to produce a strike or lock-out.”—Lost by 11 votes to 8. Tho clause was retained in the bill by 15 votes to 7.

Tho following non- clauses were added;—Tho proviso to subsection 2 of section 90 of tho principal act (in no ca-se Mini! the Court have power to fix any ago for the commencement or termination of apprenticeship) is hereby repealed; and, in any proceedings before tho Court relating to tho dismissal of ,a worker, a worker shall be deemed to bo dismissed when be is suspended for is, longer period than ten days. Tbo third reading was carried on the ’roiccj. GOVERNMENT RAILWAYS. Tho Government Railways Act Amendment Bill was road a second time, put through committee without amendment, and read a third time. PUBLIC WORKS ACTS. Tho Public Works Acts Amendment Bill was put through all its stages and passed. Tho Council rose at 11 p.m. until 11 ,*.m. to-day.
