Particulars were received of the magnificent gift to the Brisbane Young Men's Christian Association. The value is estimated at £30,000. From America word was received that the organising secretary for Australasia would probably arrive in Ncav Zealand about tiie end of March, to take up his duties. With his arrival, association work in the colonics will receive a strong impetus. , The various departments of the local work all presented encouraging reports, and in view of the rapidly developing work here, it was decided to obtain further assistance for tho_ secretarial branch, more especially as Mr Holiness energies will be particularly required to prosecute the building campaign. At tho conclusion of its meeting tho board unanimously affirmed the principle of no-license.
