CYCLING.
Tho opening run of tho cycle season in Wellington, which has been postponed on account of bad weather on two ocoassions, is to take place to-day, starting from the General Post Office at 2.30. More than usual interest has been taken, and it is expected that about a thousand cyclists will take part in the procession! On arrival at Newtown Park, a sports programme will bo proceeded with. The Central Mission Brass Band will be in attendance, and afternoon tea will be provided. A collection will bo taken up in aid of the hospital and Mission Band fund. All owners of motor cars, motor cycles, and bicycles are invited to take part in tho proceedings.
