QUINQUENNIAL REPORT. (Received October 26, 10.33 p.m.) MELBOURNE, October 26. At a special general meeting of tho Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society a report dealing with tho sixth quinquennial investigation of the society’s affairs was adopted. Tho investigation discloses a surplus of £261,541, of which £211,5-10 was left for appropriation and division. The report states that the policy of strengthening tho financial position of the society has been steadily pursued. *
