TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24. Tho Council met at 2.30 p.m. VICTORIA COLLEGE. In reply to the Hon T. Kelly, tlj© Hon Mr Pitt stated that it would lx> extremely difficult to amend tlx; ■present hill to make provision lor Taranaki scholars alleged to have been denied certain privileges by the passim; of the Queen's Scholarship Act, 11103. Tho Public Trust Office Act Amendvnent Bill was road a second time, put through committee without material amendment, read a third time, and passed. MAORI LAND SETTLEMENT. Tho Council adjourned at 5 p.m.
