Ideal wearier was experienced for the final gallops at Riccarton this morning. Phaetonitis, who is in fine fettle, covered two circuits at half speed. Kremlin defeated Tirole by four lengths over five furlongs, both being fully extended at tho finish. Shrapnel Shell and Hydrant ran a mile, being fully extended at the finish. Exmoor strode well over six and a half furlongs. Kiater© ran a mile and a half at three-quarter pace, and Creusot did a strong gallop. Romeo and Waiwera were given half to three-quarter pacing over two circuits. The rest of the horses were given sprinting tasks. Huku was said to have gone amiss on Saturday, but nothing serious is the matter, merely slight wrench. He was out and did walking exercise this morning, and appeared quite sound.
