TRADE IN THE PACIFIC.
MELBOURNE, June 23. British residents at Gilbert and Ellice Islands in an interview with Mr Hughes, Attorney-General, stated that the Pacific Trading Company had sold its interests to a Gorman Company, with the result that British traders are at a grave disadvantage. They urged the necessity for improved trade communication with the Commonwealth.
