ENTERTAINMENTS.
“SHERLOCK HOLMES.” The second performance of “Sherlock Holmes” was given by Air J. C. AVilllamson’s Company at tho Opera House on Saturday evening. As on tho opening night it was manifest that the drama is ono well suited to tho popular taste, and being admirably staged and played, its success during the period of its yiresentatiou is assured. THEATRE ROYAL. An excellent change of programme was introduced on Saturday night at the Theatre Royal by the Dix Gaiety Company. The contributions of music, song and story by tho different members of the company were well delivered and were received with every raahifestation of approval. CHORAL HALL. The. week-end change of programme at the Choral Hall attracted a very large and wholly enthusiastic audience to this long-established hotne of variety entertninment. Tho exhibit of wax figures retains its interest for the audiences that nightly fill the hall, and -the entertainment is now firmly established in favour.
