Messrs Macdonald, Wilson and Co. have a number of advertisements in our auction column relating to a sale of landed properties which they will hold at their rooms on the sth February. -f. 1050 , lu ” cludo tlio sale, by order of tho lLOg>strar of tho Supreme Court, of the valuable block with buildings thereon, situate at Petone, and known as Morrison s Buildin"®; tho sale on account of the Harbour Board of twenty-seven building sections, with frontages to Courtenay place, Victoria street, Blair and Allan streets, to be submitted on lease, the first term being twenty-one years, with renewal terms qt fourteen years each; thirty-eight splendid seaside and business building sites, situate at Seatoun, and immediately opposite the landing wharf there; twelve splendid residential building sites, at the Lower Hurt, with frontages to tho main Waiwetu road, and situate nearly opposite the 130116X110 Gardens. Lithographic plans of all the building sections can be had on application. On a date, in February yet to be fixed the firm will submit on behalf of the Makerua Estate Company, Ltd., 2600 acres of flax and agricultural land subdivided into suitable sized areas details of which will be announced later. Messrs Harcourfc and Co. will sell by auction on Tuesday, 27th inst., a residence of twelve rooms on tho main road, Karori and opposite the English Church. On Friday, 13th February, the firm will offer at auction the dredge, punt and machinery now lyinff on tho Kangaroo Dredging Company's claim by order of the mortgagees. The first sale of Hataitai is advertised to take place on Wednesday, 4th February. at tho Theatre Royal, when Messrs Turnbull, Watkins and Williams, auctioneers to the Hataitai Land Company, Limited, will offer 159 sections, consisting of {he best part of tho property. Each section, will be started at a low upset price to be mentioned by the auctioneer at the time of sale, and no section will be withdrawn for which a bid is made. The sections to he offered are all of large area, no .frontage being less than 50ft, and every allotment fronts a well-formed 66ft street. Views of Evans Bay and the surrounding country are obtainable from every section. and tho residents in this suburb will have all the advantages of boating, bathing and fishing within a short distance of their homes. The opening up of this spot offers an opportunity to tlie residents of overcrowded Wellington which is unique. Hataitai is one of the nearest, prettiest and best of the Empire City’s suburbs, and the terms on which the property is offered bring the purchase of a section within the reach of all.
