BOWLING TOURNAMENT.
PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, January 22. Tho bowling tournament was continued to-day in excellent weather. Tho morning was taken up with the Singles, Doubles and Riuk Matches, which were brought to their final stages. In the afternoon there was a largo attendance on the Christchurch green, when a toarp under 45 years of age beat a team of 45 years and over. The following are the results: CHAMPION DOUBLES. Fourth Round—Churchward and Webb. IS, v. Joyut and Barnett. 8; Louisson and Bishop 18, v. Lambie and Maddison, 15. ’ , Fifth round—Webb and Churchward, 16, v. Tisch and Seager. 14; Simmers and Rowley, 16, v. Louisson and Bishop, 12. CHAMPION SINGLES. Fifth round.—Gow, 26. v. Reid. 6. Sixth round —Gow, 16, v. Alluutt, 15; Sneddon. 17, v. Allnutt. 9. CHAMPION RINKS. • Semi-Final—Dunedin (J. Barnes. J. C. Short, J. G. Bentley and M. McLaren, skip). 20, v. Green Island (J. Aitchison, W. McDonald, A. Young and D. Buchanan, skip),l7; Victoria (John Brackenridge. T. J. Gooder. N. Bell and James Brackenridge, skip). 19. v. Dunedin (A. .1. Barth. J. Johnson, W* Burnside and M. Sinclair, skip), 15. To-morrow the finals will bo played. Tn the Singles, Bell (Wellington) meets Gow- (Timam), in the Doubles, Rowley and Simmers (Timam) meet Churchward and Webb (Wellington), and in the Rinks Tournament. Dunedin (McLaren) meets Victoria (Brackenridge).
