GREATER CHRISTCHURCH.
PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, January 22. Considerable interest was taken in the polling to-day on the subject of Greater Christchurch, and the proposal for _ the amalgamation of the city md adjoining boroughs was carried b., overwhelming majorities. The figures were —Christchurch, for amalgamation- 1203.’ against 79. St. Albans, for 436, against 238. Linwood, for 599, against 145. The Sydenham poll is to be taken on the 4th February.
