MYSTERIOUS BURGLARY.
PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, January 21. A burglary is said to have taken -place" in this city on Monday night, when a safo on the promises of a legal firm was opened by keys alleged to have been taken from tho clothes of the only occupant of tho promises. A curious fact in connection, with tho affair is that there are no signs of the premises having been broken into, and the occupant is understood to havo locked tho doors, which is fitted with patent locks which could not bo pickedi A sum of money under five pounds was taken out of a cash box in tho safo, but tho bank-book and cheques were untouched. The cash-bo v was found in the yard. The adjoining premises are said to havo been robbed.
