The Leyland Line has been awarded £II,OOO for salving the Cunard steamer Etruria, which recently broke her propeller in mid-Atlantic. Additional companies, including the Aberdeen line, have joined the recentlyformed South African steamship liners’ combination. MELBOURNE, April 14. Tho Federal Postmaster-General (Hon J. G. Drake) states that he is trying hard to secure a reduction in Australian and New Zealand cable charges.
