Afterwards Mr Duncan hopes to bo able to go south. Mr T. 11. Hamer, private secretary To the Premier, has been granted six months’ leave of absence from February next. Mr and Mrs Hamer will pay a. visit to Great Britain, travelling homeward by the Suer, route- Xhey will probably join the P. and O. Company’s steamer China in Sydney. The wedding was celebrated at St. Mark’s Church yesterday, by the Kov. ilr Wynne-Bond, of Mr Arthur H. "Wise, son of Mr J. T. Mise, lato accountant of the Wellington Gas Company, and Mbs Louisa C. Smith, daughter of the lato Mr Alfred Smith- Misses A. A. and A. M. Smith, sisters of the bride, were tho bridesmaids, Mr U. H. Gowen was best man. and the bride was given away by her brother, Mr vvm. Smith. A reception was afterwards hold at tho residence of the bride's mother.
