BRITAIN’S NAVY.
THE MEDITERRANEAN FLEET. (Received August 6, 0.19 a.m.) LONDON, August 5. As a result of Lord Charles Beresford’s letter to a friend on June 21st, in which ho confessed anxiety as to the strength of the Mediterranean fleet, several thirty-knot torpedo destroyers will shortly be sent to strengthen the naval forces on that station.
