(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ° ’ Friday, 7.15 p.m. During the last two or three weeks the weather has been exceptionally cold and rough, even for this season of the year. In' fact; this is so far the mo s t severe winter experienced on the const for some years. , . , , The soldiers from this district who have returned by the Tagus are to be entertained at a “social.” The local Presbyterians have decided to erect a now church. The present building is to be used as a schoolroom.
