Tire JJon Captain Russell arrived in town last evening from Hawke’s Bay. .VI r a. K. 8- Mackenzie was yesterday admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court, try -Ur •Justice Howards, on the motion of Mr Myers. Tiro Hon \V. Hall-Joncs, after visiting Christchurch during the Royal visit to that city, hopes to he able to spend a couple of weeks at the lianmer hut springs. The Governor anil members of the Ministry, including the Premier, are expected to leave the Manukau at- daylight on Sunday morning, in one of the Government steamers, for- New Plvir..nth, where they' will take special train for Welling! on, arriving hero early on Monday.
