HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Huit Borough Council met last night. Present—Mr E. P. Bunny (Alayor), Councillors Moorhouso, Stevens, Do Rosa, Mathews, Cudby and Brassell. Accounts amounting to £lO 17s were missed for payment. " The overseer of works reported in reference to tho drains discharging into tho river- near White’s Line, and wak requested to do .whatever.: work is necessary. . ’Appreciative reference having been made to Mr Bunny’s services k-s Mayor, Mr Bunny, in acknowledging tho kindly : expressions uttered by Councillors, said ho hud endeavoured to work in tho best interests of tho district ’in the face of opposition, and if ho did not como back they might be sure ho would continue, io do his best as a private citizen for the welfare of tho borough. Ho expressed his thahks to the Council for the loyal support 'lie had received during his term of office.
