A large and representative public meeting, convened by tho Mayor, was held in the Town Hall to make preliminary arrangements in connection with the approaching visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall. Before the meeting closed, Mr John Holnicu, the Government Executive Commissioner, who arrived by the express, put in an appearance and spoke.
