During the late riots seventeen persona were killed -and thirty wounded 1 at Moscow; while eleven were killed and twenty-two wounded at St. Petersburg. With, reference to the recent murder of the Russian Minister of Public Instruction (M. Bogolepoff) .by one of a group of students who were presenting him with a petition, it transpires that forty students drew lots to decide which of them should commit the crime.
