Committee presented the following resolutions:—That hospital accommodation he provided for those suffering )froiri contagious diseases; ‘ who voluntarily present themselves: that the system of party government in Now Zealand has many evils connected with it, and is entirely unsuited to the circumstances of the colony; that each member of the House should be free to act according to the dictates of his conscience, and not bo tho slave of party; that the time has come when all disabilities which hinder women fronv-being elected to any public office or position in the colony should be removed; that women visiting Justices he appointed- to our prisons ; that this convention urges the desirability of placing the camp of any future contingent at a much greater distance from tho city ; that this convention mows with distress the alarming increase of criminal assaults upon children, and urges that severe sentences may be passed.
