MEETINGS
■ The following office-bearers were clected at the annual meeting of the Rovers’ third-class football teams: Junior eleven—Captain, A. No'.vson; vice-cap-tain, T. Condliffo; secretary, and treasurer, W. Hicks (reelected); match committee, Messrs Moss, Newscn, Hutchings. It was decided to enter last year’s A team for the junior championship, leaving the B , team to represent i the club in third-class matches. • The Locomotive, Stationary and Trac- ' tion Engine Drivers’ Union met last night, and elected several new members. The union now numbers upwards of forty members. ■ . A meeting of milkmen of Karon and the surrounding district will be held at the parochial hall, Karori, to-morrow evening. Delegates from the Welling, i ton Milk Suppliers’ Union will be present. A special meeting of the. Melrose -Bor- , ough Council wiil bo held to-morro« . evening for the. purpose of amending i and confirming the district- electors’ roll.
