Dr Chappie and Messrs J. P. Firth, T. R. Fleming and G. Talbot have been re-nominated! for seats on the \ ictoria College Council. Another Thames School of Minos student, Mr Robert Clarke, who for some time past has been assayer and metallurgist to the Waitekauri Goldmining Company, has been appointed to> a responsible position ns mine-manager to a large company in New South Wales. Captain Walker, of the cruiser Blake, which is on her way to Australia, has ben selected by Rear-Admiral Beaumont to act as his flag-captain on the Australian station. Captain Walker was far vourably known during his term; of office as flag-captain to the Admiral on the Pacific station.
